For decades, JNF UK has been committed to strengthening communities in Israel’s underdeveloped peripheries, where many families struggle with economic hardship and rely on welfare.
Since the tragic events of October 7th, the need has become even more urgent. Many Israelis who were once self-sufficient now find themselves in need of assistance due to the effects of the war, economic instability, displacement, and loss.
This Pesach, JNF UK is proud to launch its Kimcha D’Pischa campaign, raising vital funds to provide food for those in need across some of Israel’s most vulnerable communities. The cherished mitzvah of Kimcha D’Pischa ensures that every Jewish family, regardless of their financial circumstances, has the essential food and resources needed to celebrate Pesach with dignity.
For many years, JNF UK has partnered with three incredible organisations—The Sderot Chesed Centre, Beit Refael, and SAHI— They aim to distribute 3,400 food packages and provide hundreds of food vouchers to families this Pesach, and need your support.
Providing essential support to disadvantaged residents of Sderot and surrounding communities, The Chesed Centre operates a vital soup kitchen and food distribution programme. This Pesach, the Centre will distribute 800 large food parcels and tens of thousands of shekels in food vouchers.
Supporting Eilat’s most vulnerable, Beit Refael offers various community services including a soup kitchen providing hot meals for the needy. During Pesach they aim to provide hundreds of residents with Pesach essentials and meals throughout the holiday.
A unique organisation supporting families in need while empowering young volunteers. SAHI’s teenage volunteers work tirelessly to assemble and distribute food parcels anonymously that get distributed to needy families across the underdeveloped peripheries. Pesach is one of SAHI’s busiest times! This year they plan to distribute 2,300 food parcels and hundreds more food vouchers across multiple cities and communities North and South of Israel.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly towards providing food and essentials for struggling families this Pesach:
