On the morning of October 7th, Raz Frohlich, 44 years old, entered Kibbutz Be’eri which was under intense fire to rescue the residents under attack. After 12 gruelling hours of risking his life, he saved the lives of many Israeli citizens but was seriously injured and rushed to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. In this exclusive Interview, Frohlich will give his first-hand account of October 7, the massacre in Kibbutz Be’eri and the life threatening surgery he had to undergo as a result of his bravery.

Currently, Frohlich works as the General Director of ORT, the largest Technology & Science Educational Network in Israel. His previous roles include General Director of the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports (2020-2023).
Prior to that, Raz held leadership roles as the Director General of the Israel Association of Community Centers, senior executive roles in Amdocs Company, and general manager of Aharai movment.

Raz holds an MBA with specializations in strategy and entrepreneurship, from Tel Aviv University, and a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering and Management. He is married with two children and lives in Kochav Yair. He is active in triathlon, mountain climbing, and scuba diving.
